Sommersturm

eCard from Sommersturm.

Alec rented the movie Sommersturm a couple of months ago. I don't usually enjoy most of the gay themed movies that are out these days, but this one really caught my eye. I guess it's a combination of things that made up the movie that I find appealing; the actors, the acting, the imageries, the music and the motion. The plot was good, but not exceptional. It's a light- hearted coming out story. The acting was sweet and believable. But I think what I really, really love about the movie was the cinematography... It's awesome! But one thing, the domestic trailer isn't very 'inviting'. I wouldn't want to see it if I saw it. I think it's nothing sweet and charming like the movie. 'nuff said.

After seeing the movie, it made me feel kinda good... Being young can be a very powerful thing. Seeing the characters in the movie, to be free like them made me wondered what opportunities I could've had, what I could've done, and what I could've been...

Sometimes, it feels good to be young -- even if only in spirit.

Yea, it is a good movie. I ran across it at Blockbuster but told myself I'll look it up first and try to see what people say about it..

It was nice, me liked it. Ahh, it made me think of you when it played Blond on Blond since you put that song in that CD you sent out. Thanks a lot for introducing me to all these artists, though Rilkean Heart's my really favorite one so far. It helps to remind me to look at the bigger picture, which I really don't do :D

Have a good weekend Rob... Take good care!

Matt:

Rah-burt!!!!!! I must be busy that I didn't know you're babbling (eh..I mean blogging LOL) again.

This movie looks like something Ken and I wish to take with us for our weekend getaway. I should check it out...I wonder if it's on Netflix????

Glad you're back in the blogsphere. Hugs.

Hello Matt. You HAVE been busy, I know cuz I've read all about it! heh! Yeah, it was a Netflix rental. Wished the domestic had more extras like the original version. But nope. Have fun with Ken! xoxo

Greg:

We're going to check that one out. I hope all is well with you.

I think you guys might enjoy it! We're well [that sounded funny when said out loud, heh!] and hope you are too Greg!

lola:

I try to stay positive and realize that when I add the two digits of my age together, it comes to seven...

I don't know what I'd do if I gave into feeling old. I know that I am not as carefree and naive as I used to be however, once in a while, the feeling comes back to me.

Thanks for the reminder about youth Robert. It's really all in the mind, don't you think?

I think 34 is a very good age! :-) I agree that it's all in the mind, but it's just so sometimes our body keeps us in check. I think understanding our heart is part of the secret to a good life itself. BTW Lola - THANKS!!!

Amen to that.

I especially get like that when I hear a somewhat poppy song! hehe!

I should check that one out.

...just watched SOAP. ...or, EN SOAP.

I sort of liked it, tho I'm not sure I'd like it were I transgendered. Which leaves me wondering if I actually liked it or if I think it was too simplistic and kind of stupid in character development.

Hmmmmm...

What's SOAP? I haven't the slightest. We also watched another one called Guys & Balls from Germany. Y'know 'em Germans actually make pretty good 'coming of age' movies! Kudos to them!
