A poor man suffered a lot because he did not have a job or enough money to support his family. He got into the habit of stealing vegetables from his neighbor's garden.
One night he went with his son to the garden to steal some turnips. When he picked the third turnip, his son suddenly shouted from behind. "Daddy, somebody is watching you!"
The father asked, "Who is looking at me?"
The son answered, "Look up, the moon, daddy. The moon is watching you."
After listening to the son's answer, the father felt embarrassed. He immediately put down the turnips. He felt very sorry, yet he was happy at the same time. He walked home silently holding his son's hand. On his way, he thought that he would use both his hands to earn a living the honest way.

I bought the book this weekend and it pertains the story above; I liked it a lot. I finished it in half an hour while waiting for my haircut Saturday late afternoon. It's basically a children's book, but hey, I'm a kid myself. heh! So how was your weekend? Hope everyone is all refreshed.
I spent most of my Saturday with my folks and grandmother. Always nice to see them. They live about 30+ miles from me and I try to go back every 2 weeks. If they lived closer, I know I would go visit more often.
Sunday afternoon I met up with super-nice [my use of adjectives astounds me sometimes!] blogger David, we've been chatting on and off for about 2 months now on Yahoo! Messenger, and finally we decided to meet yesterday for lunch. He has many stories to tell, an interesting soul indeed. How would I describe him exactly? "Gentle, sweet and full of heart!" Yeah, don't let his butch-look fool you, although he has a fairly deep voice and yet he's über soft-spoken. Did I get that right Dave? :-)
At any rate, we'll definitely meet again soon. I promised that I would bring Alec next time. Most likely for a dinner and a movie... or maybe Disneyland, who knows!! Whatever we may be doing, I'm very much looking forward to it. Thanks for being so brave and meeting up with me David! I kind of knew that you were a sweetheart when I first chatted with you, and now I know why!
PS. And he ordered himself a copy of Bully! ehehe!

I'm such a space cadet! It took a second glance for me to realize this was a blogger and not a book. God, I hope the moon's watching me! LOL
But you are right. The first was from a book, and the latter is 'bout a blogger! I think I'm just lazy and just wanted to clump the two together! d'oh!

I thought you don't bite, why should anyone be brave to meet up with you? :)
I will bite if I have to, but that won't be very attractive would it? Now wait until WE meet! heh! I can't wait. Let's then have some dim sum! :-)

Seems the oceans aren't the only things watched over by the moon.
A funny story eh Sandy? :-) Yet it's so much more!

Hey there, thanks for reminding us of who is watching. Often, far too often, we forget.
And if you're on Xtube, then EVERYONE can watch! ehehe! Ooh la la!!

Ah that's nice, someone got graced by Robert's presence. That's good you guys finally got to meet since you don't live that far from one another.
Ditto to what Dave said :)
Graced? ahaha! Funny guy. Yeah, being close by does have its advantage eh? That reminds me, how are things with you and C? :-)

Yeah, soft spoken yet with a deep voice... Sort of like a bit nutty and crunchy on the outside, yet soft and taffy-like on the inside! heeee! j/k. The pleasure was all mine Dave. You're just a big sweetheart to boot! Looking forward to next time for sure!

It's a good reminder of how many opportunities we have to cheat ourselves, whether it's stealing from others, or cheating on a diet, budget, or at the gym.
Yeah, it's a good reminder for sure. That sometimes even when no one's watching, our conscience is always taking notes. Hey funny this, right now I'm listening to 'I Heard A Rumour [Horoscope Mix]' as I'm typing my reply back to you! Coincidence?? :-)
