What's In The Name?

Names of You.

Happy Monday! Y'know, come to think of it, now I'm not so sure if this is 'appropriate' to say on a Monday morning!? That's my greeting to peeps at work every Monday, and at times, I get an odd look from a few and a chuckle from others. Maybe I'm just pushin' it! Shall I say something else?!?

Anyway, I've been writing and reading peeps' blogs since January 2003. Most are still going strong, and I'm so glad. Some have fizzled out and probably with good reasons. People come and go, and so for those of you who are still here writing away, thanks! I know you don't need no stinkin' "thank yous", but I just feel like it! :-) It always perks me up whenever there's a new entry to read. I'm gettin' giddy just thinking about it now. heh!

Originally I was thinking of asking you guys all about your blog names. What exactly does it mean to you personally, etc. But after I looked at the names again, and for most I've been reading for quite some time, I already know the answers! That's a good thing isn't it? I only came up with ATBN because my previous domain name is blocked from work! gaaah! So what about if you were to have another website/blog, what would you name it? Just wondering. I'm also thinking of coming up with another domain name for my portfolio. Shouldn't be too difficult.

As for this past weekend, I saw my folks again and also my aunts! Great fun! Took pictures of my grandma and her 3 girls all together. I think I'll post a picture of them up soon. It's a super-rare occasion when they all get together these days. I also ran some errands, cleaned the house a bit and spent countless hours an hour or two video gaming! :-) So pretty much, my weekend was the same as the last 3 weeks' prior. :-/ Well that's it for today.

Happy Monday! Toodles noodles.

Mine reminds me of a Frank Sinatra song from childhood.

If I had a new one, I would call it "Get Back to Let It Be...Dissected". I would call it that because it has a double meaning.

It would be called something like "Confessions of a Serial Norman Person', and be about the craziness that exists inside all of us - underneath our 'normal' facades. It would be anonymous and liberating. Or, maybe really boring... heheh.

I used to have a load of fancy names for my blogs, but mine's pretty simple now. It's a 'say what you see' type of name really.

My blog's original name was "Coffin" but no one got the connection between that word and the address which is "Can you dig it". A bit morbid, I know, but what is a Goth-girl supposed to do. (Okay, so I'm not entirely a goth-girl anymore but the spirit is there)

Good subject Robert. Hope to hear from you soon!

blog titles i hope are personal things that mean something to the writer, or convey what the contents maybe.
some of them are tongue in cheek jokes i've discovered.
finding fun blog titles is a hobby in itself.

I was actually going to write a post about this myself...people ask me and - although it makes sense to me - I seemingly need a powerpoint presentation to explain how I got the two words "buffalo" and "void" together.

btw...your blog is lovely...

I kind of look at blog title's as similar to a book. Each entry is a passage to a chapter. With a chapter being broken down by years. One knows when the book's complete. And you either start another blog (book); or you lay it to rest. It will be a long time before "Defying Despondency" is complete. If I were to move to a new blog with a new name, it would probably be something like, "Believe in Steve." I know it's corny :P

I couldn't think of a name for my block so I chose my apartment number at the time, 401a. It worked. I mean I mostly blog while at home.

Sometimes I think I should change the name, but to what? I still can't think of a better name so it remains.

I haven't considered creating another blog because I don't have much time to work on the one I currently have.

My business website has suffered under my lack o' time too. I started a new site, but it remains unfinished. I really need to get focused on it because it will have examples of my work and all around better image. In my line of work this is important.
