It seems like months since I have written. My brain is fried from too much video gaming. Let's see, like a month back, I played this one game for about 50 hours. Then another one about 45, then the latest one I just finished, hrm... about 60 hours. No more video gaming for awhile! One thing great about Alec is that he just lets me be. One would think that he would've stomped on my PS2 many times already. heh! Yeah, I've been bad, but it's time to put it back in storage again! I need to get back on my reading.
In other news. I met up with Jef from Cult of Jef this last Thursday. We've never met before nor have I even seen pictures of him. But I had a wonderful time, heh, and I hope he did, too. I didn't write about it, but a couple of months back, Cesar from Kai's World was in town fro some family events and when we met up, I took him to Canter's for a fancy-free no-thrill dinner. So where did I take Jef? Yeah, and I had the same thing, too... half a corned beef sandwich and a big bowl of matzo ball soup! mmm! Hope your roast beef sandwich was good! heh! Oh and we also went to Amoeba Music. I wished I had more time for you to browse around the store my friend. Next time okay? I promise! :-) And thanks for asking about my family Jef, that meat a lot! At any rate, I think Cesar might come out again this December, so now I'll have to think of another eatery to take him! hmm...
What else happened this weekend? I bought 3 blacklite light bulbs to replace the existing porch lights, and 2 giant pumpkins for Halloween. I wanted orange light bulbs but I couldn't find them! We'll carve the pumpkins tonight I reckon. Oh I dreamt about being afraid of dying. I wonder where that came about?!?
2 weekends ago Alec and I met up with Davey and his friend Fred for a movie: 30 Days of Night. Not my choice of movies but Alec had to see it for his work. I wore earplugs to this particular show since I don't really prefer scary movies, and they really helped to ease up the fright elements. Oright, cuz I'm a big fraidy cat when it comes to any scary movies. We'll be inviting David to our place for a little dinner this coming weekend. It's gonna be our first time inviting anyone over for dinner - EVER. Imagine that! Oright, and wish me luck on the cooking.
Anyway, whether you'll be a ghost or a goblin, you all have a spooky Halloween this Wednesday. Stay safe and don't get a tummy ache from the candy.
PS. Not an exciting post, but what were you expecting? :-) I'm glad that I'll be reading more again though. Am looking forward to that.

Am working with someone from HK (now lives in Pasadena) who I am become very fond of. A consultant. Very smart and very good spirit. He has shared some stories form his mother of the WW II occupation that are chilling, and very sad. I assume your family has similar stories of the Japanese occupation. I think of you at times as I work with him – which is become 10-11 hour days now, Have worked 16 hours OT this week and am ready to drop. Had a vicodin I was saving and popped it tonight and have melted into LaLa land… Beats working until 11 PM like last night (and was back up at 5:30.
Hope you are well, and still think of me once in a blue moon.
Cheers

Yeah! We visited with Jef, too! Glad you showed him a good time as we couldn't find the hotel. But, I think he enjoyed dinner and the brief trip to Oil Can Harry's.

I had a great time, Robert. If only I lived in L.A., or y'all lived in Atlanta. We'll definitely have to meet up again the next time I come to town.

I didn't know you were such a hardcore gamer.
Which games are you playing that keep you away from civilization for so long?
