I love this one, and this one, and this one... These pictures are from previous years' photo la exhibits... oright, except for the last one since I'm in it! heh! The first print is by Ruud van Empel and Loretta Lux did the 2nd... I love pictures with children as subject, especially these since they're laced with a sense of mystery... and awe! But again, except for the third picture where I'm just busy studying, or pretending that I was! ahaha!
So photo la 2008 is this weekend and am heading out there tomorrow with a few friends. Late notice, but drop on by, I'll take your picture! :-) Owait, I still need a spiffy camera!
Take care luv and have a fun weekend! *toot toot*

It's interesting that this would bring that digital age argument up in my mind. While I find van Empel's and Lux's images quite stunning, they are also quite "enhanced" digitally. So, did they start off as conventional photos and enhances or shot digitally? Then I realized that the exhibition was of photographic art which appeases the conventional side of me.
I find this interesting. The work here is quite other-worldly - especially van Empel's - to the point of almost being frightening in that the subjects do not look entirely human.
Nevertheless, the images were striking...
By the way, how was the exhibition?

I couldn't get the pic, so I asked Troy (who was busy making a roast...) He came over, immediately read it out loud to me, and went back in the kitchen. Duh...
The pictures of the kids are hauntingly beautiful; they look almost animated, no?
And which kid are you? I say the one on then right...
