What's new pu$$ykat? Whoa whoa whooooa!

What's new everyone? I hope you all had a great New Year's Eve celebration... here I wish good health, and a joyous and fruitful year in 2008!! woohoo! Hope all of you guys got some nifty gifts! As for Alec and I, we both got something for each other that we need to return/exchange. Goes to show you how much we know about one another! ahaha!

Last 2 week was hectic for me, mostly. So hectic that I went to work Friday morning with me putting my phone, wallet and my travel mug o' coffee on top of my car... somehow I saw the coffee and not the other other 2 items. So the mug was saved, but the others went flyin'... Gone! Toast!! I don't miss it too much, everything is replaceable. But Alec happened to be on vacation that week and when I called him from work that morning, he looked all over the house and drove and checked all sides of the road, even on the onramp... He then called back: "Did you bring a green apple to work this morning? I saw one near the gutter!" Oh he always knows how to get me laughing! ehehe! He also reminded me that I happened to have a camouflage-pattern'd wallet... making it twice as difficult to spot. It's quite funny, well, to me! :-) So yeah, I lost my phone along with all the phone numbers, but gained the freedom of not having one [for a few more days!], it's quite nice actually... Liberating!

Something was lost and it did bother me. It's not the item itself but what's behind it. It was a hundred dollar that my grandma gave me to put it in her savings account. It's not the money no matter how much, but her trusting me and I being careless and now I feel I've let her down! :-(

Let's see, what else... Alec got us tickets to see Rufus Wainwright and Belinda Carlisle on New Year's eve at the Disney Hall. They did a show about Paris. All songs were sung in French, even the last song, Our Lips Are Sealed! ahaha! But it was way too short. Each of them sang about 4 or 5 songs and 2 together! ugh. Not fair. We felt jibb'd. It went from 7.30 to about 9.00pm. Got home in half hour. I was playing my video game and Alec on the computer... up until 11.30pm, then we got ready for bed. I made sure we were in bed by midnight. hehe!

I closed off all comments for last year's entry. Re-reading most of the entries, I can't believe how many words I've misspelled!! Like 'privilege' and 'extravagant'. Thank goodness for Webster!! Oright, more layoffs here at work, but dunno when!?! No big whoop, it's expected.

Well that's it for now. Oright, the travel mug that I saved, it was one of the Christmas gifts from Alec... that's something innit? :-) So with the new year, maybe I'll write more, or less. Read more blogs, or less. Anything can happen! Toodles.

PS. And I thot I didn't have much to say today! Oy! Then again, it's not like I wrote anything substantial... it's like I didn't say anything at all! hehehe!

I had no idea you were a Tom Jones fan ;)

How lucky were you to catch Rufus??!!

Sorry to hear about you losing your valuables on the top of your car. I've lost a cell phone out the car window in my time ;)

Glad to hear you boys had a great holiday!! Hope the new year is treating you well Robert!!

Paul:

Jef:

Sorry to hear about your loss, but you have the right attitude--it's just stuff that can be replaced. However, I understand your feelings about your grandmother's trust, but she loves you, and people who love us forgive us, don't they?

By the way, thanks for the CD. We have very similar taste in music. If you'll send me your address, I'll send you one, too. I'll also email you all of my contact info again. What do they call it these days? My digits?

Ooh... I love me some Belinda Carlisle! I wasn't crazy about her French album, but she did a fantastic job.

Several of the authors who have done signings in the store have blogs. It's their free space to write without worrying about technique or spelling. In fact, Hollis Gillespie says all typos are intensional. Don't worry about it--WRITE!

Ah, I drove down the road with my phone on top of the car just the other day...

Maybe your stuff will turn up, you never know.

Oh, end I cood cair less aboot spelling ;)

XOXO

Sorry to hear about the wallet, I know it can be such a pain to replace everything. That made me think, many years ago when I was a kid I worked in a coffee shop and every morning there was always two or three people that would be in such a hurry, they would run out, place their coffee on the car roof and then jump in and drive off with it still there.

Anyway Happy New Year!

Love me some Rufus he's one of my favorite's! I've been home in bed under the covers, I got the crud! Yuck.

lola:

Rufus Wainright? I love him. I also love that he's Canadian!

Anyway, Robert, if I didn't say it before now, I wanted to say thank you for the lovely gift that came in the post for me when I got back to the office. It was just what the doctor ordered for the first day back to work after such a long absence.

Cheers,
L

...but you said it so well! :)

Happy New Year. Here's wishing you both a happy, healthy, and fruitful 2008 full of lots of love!
