All Things But None

Well more like one of the iconic children of Zang Tuum Tumb! ZTT also gave birth to ACT, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Grace Jones, The Buggles and my other fave, Propaganda. Daah, here I am talking 'bout music again. Actually, what got me started listening to AON again was when my friend Stuart W. sent me an Easter gift package, one item being the 20th Anniversary double-disc Into Battle with the Art of Noise... It just brought back plenty-good memories.

Anyway, I think Legs [Inside Leg Mix] is prolly my fave song by AON! Remember the image of the horse from the vinyl cover? I was attending art school at the time and I soooo plagiarized that image!! I remember copying and blowing up that graphic of the horse onto a 5 by 6ft canvas along with other numerous crap on it! It was big and it was beautifully copied stolen rendered... inspired by the AON. Awful innit? But I was only 20, and that was like half my lifetime ago.

I guess I could mention a bit about this past weekend, but I shall wait 'til next time. I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and a great week to come. 'til next time... Rock on [with the drum machine]!!

That's how I've been feeling lately... Must things come to an end in order for other things to start anew? I've written nothing these days, and I'm thinking of quitting this blog while the thought is still fresh. I don't feel too good about it, but the need feels overwhelming. Who knows but the moon and the stars...

I started my first blog, Mrhappysad, back in January 2003, then I stopped writing for a good 6 months back in 2006 when my sister passed away. I do enjoy jotting down my thoughts every now and then, it's a process and in the long run, it gauges how much I've grown, or not.

I might transition to something new... Maybe a photoblog or something to that effect. I might put away the name - All Things But None [I still love the name!], and this layout aside, I will miss it and I will be a little sad... cuz my vanity plates said so, dammit! :-) You don't know me, but if you saw me driving in my car and spotted my plates, you would probably think that I'm a person who's dejected and depressed about life. But I think I'm quite the opposite. It's kind of like this...

Life is so wonderful it's blinding! All my years, life's been really good to me and yet everything must have a balance, right? So the other side of the coin is that everything will come to an end, a closing! This good life... my parents, my grandparents, my siblings, my friends and my beloved Alec... Everything I see, everything YOU see, will disappear because one day, this life WILL end... and that particular feeling is what I'm referring to. But I needn't be sad and I certainly don't dwell on it for I will miss out all the good things, and so for me, the plates act as a reminder! When I think on the word, I don't feel sad, for I only feel grounded. Does that make any sense? I'm really happier than you think I am! :-)

So in addition, Flickr, too, will eventually come to end for me as well. But I will still visit, just like I'll be visiting all the bloggers here. I do not know when this blog will end, maybe a month or so, that's what I'm thinking. Something good will come out of this. I would like that!

How are you these days? Oh boy, I've been away for a long while. I'm still around, but not so much it seems. What's new? This morning it took me close to 3hrs to get to work... Last night around 11.30pm, there was a drunk driver that got on to the off ramp and went about 4 miles in the opposite direction on the freeway! It finally came to a halt after it collided head-on with a semi-truck!! The drunk driver did not survive..... What a way to end a life!

In other happenings, Alec and I will be taking a day off to tomorrow to visit Disneyland with Davey!! We've talked about it for a few good months and now it's finally happening! I have not stepped foot in that park for the past 15+ years. I hope I'll get some good pictures of David and his Mickey's ears!! heh! Now what to wear for tomorrow?!? I'm thinking either wearing my Exorcist tee with the big ol' Regan's possessed face on it, or my P is for Porn teeshirt. Decisions decisions!! I shall figure something out by tonight!

You know tomorrow is the first day of spring? woohoo!! And an early Happy Easter to everyone!! *peep peep*

Not sure if I'm lazy or just uninspired to write these days... or even to copy n' paste! :-) Anyway, hopefully I'll have more to say next time. So before I part, I shall give you this picture as a reminder: Don't forget to water your plants! ehehe!

Y'know I've come to realized that a lot of times, life is like... driving in a car. Don't you think? Metaphors a-plenty. And sometimes I think, I drive and I drive without knowing where I'm really going. I would like to have an idea! :-) A navigational system might help, but it's not the same. You'll get to your destination eventually, but it's like being told on what to do and where to go. Who wants that! hehe.

You need petrol to go places, regular maintenance work, wash your car every now and then, and invite a passenger or two in once in awhile! You see peeps speeding, cutting you off, tailgating you, flippin' you off or maybe a wave of a hand to signal you a gesture of 'thank you'! You see people of all sorts on the road. It's a bit exciting, to me anyway. And if you don't drive, commuting via public transportation is the same thing... or even taking a stroll where one walks to work. It's all the same matter really.

So yeah, nothing much to report lately but have been reading a lot... so I'm just throwing my thoughts around. I thinking about life quite a bit, or thinking about driving, when I'm driving. Hope everyone is having a fantastic day today. xoxo
