Driving

Y'know I've come to realized that a lot of times, life is like... driving in a car. Don't you think? Metaphors a-plenty. And sometimes I think, I drive and I drive without knowing where I'm really going. I would like to have an idea! :-) A navigational system might help, but it's not the same. You'll get to your destination eventually, but it's like being told on what to do and where to go. Who wants that! hehe.

You need petrol to go places, regular maintenance work, wash your car every now and then, and invite a passenger or two in once in awhile! You see peeps speeding, cutting you off, tailgating you, flippin' you off or maybe a wave of a hand to signal you a gesture of 'thank you'! You see people of all sorts on the road. It's a bit exciting, to me anyway. And if you don't drive, commuting via public transportation is the same thing... or even taking a stroll where one walks to work. It's all the same matter really.

So yeah, nothing much to report lately but have been reading a lot... so I'm just throwing my thoughts around. I thinking about life quite a bit, or thinking about driving, when I'm driving. Hope everyone is having a fantastic day today. xoxo

Once again, I like your post!

Often times my day is so routine that I can practically drive to a destination without putting much thought into it. In fact I rarely notice the drive to and from anymore.

Heheh, you said petrol...

No matter what tools or conveyances we have on our journey, it is the ability to go in any direction that we must cherish. And with or without GPS, we don't always end up where we intended. Sometimes, however, this is a good thing.

Bend over, I'll drive...

GPS and traction control would be nice :)

Definitely metaphor happy topic. And a good one, at that! Drive on!

urspo:

let's hope your metaphor is not too precise - going through life on 4$ a gallon doesn't sound worth it; time to get a hybrid - does that mean a face lift or a trophy wife?

Yes, I agree. I don't think I would like a GPS for my life. I think this would be called dogma?

Anyhow, I am having a lovely day and wish the same to you and your love. :)

As long as you're the one driving! Then no matter what happens, you're in control of you're destiny.

Kris:

I like this! I'm glad I got invited in someone's jeep.. Beep beep
